Arrival in Tehran IKA International Airport, transfer to hotel. Check in and rest.
Drive from Tehran to Shemshak. Trek up from Shemshak to camping area in Sarakchal (3,500m).
Climb up to Sarakchal summit (4200 m), back to camping site.
Descend from Sarakchal, transfer from Shemshak to Nandal. Drive via Haraz road to Nandal village located in the north face of Damavand (4-5 hours drive). Welcome drink & snack upon arrival. Enjoying the friendly atmosphere of Damavand Eco Camp, rest and relax in equipped tents.
Early morning wake up, having breakfast, drive to the start point of trekking trail by pickups (Nissan mini truck). The luggage will be transported by mules. The trekking takes 5-6 hours leading to Damavand Advanced Camp (4350 m). Welcome drink and snack upon arrival. After relaxation & practice and review of mountaineering essential skills, it’s time for dinner.

Altitude gain: 1650 m
Acclimatization day; Half day trek up to 4850 m to acclimatize in the path leading to the summit and return to advanced camp, this day also could be used as a reserved day in case of bad weather on summit day.
Trek time: 4-5 hours up and down
Altitude gain: 500 m
Early morning wake up, climbing (slowly & as a team). Reaching summit, a short stop for visiting Damavand caldera and old crater of the volcano. Visiting sulfur fumarole and taking photos. Return to the Advanced Camp. After a well deserved rest it’s time for dinner.
Trek time: approx. 12 hours up and down
Altitude gain: 1270 m
Trekking back to the start point of the track after breakfast, the backpacks will be transported by mules. Transfer to Damavand Eco Camp by pickups (Nissan mini truck). After a cozy lunch and short refreshment drive back to Tehran.
Drive distance: 5 km on dirt road, 45 minutes / 150 km from Nandal to Tehran, approx. 4-5 hours
Trek time: 4 hours down
National Museum
Today is a day to go through history from 5th millennium BC to 648 AD the pre-Islam archaeological museum covers Persia’s history to a view of Islamic works of art. We can walk to get into an old traditional café to have lunch. Afternoon visit of National Jewelry Museum
Golestan Palace
The Golestan Palace from the Qajar period is listed on the UNESCO heritage list. Build on the left-overs of a citadel is it one of the oldest buildings in Tehran. The complex has several palaces a lovely garden. The Qajar family was ruling Iran from 1785 to 1925.
National Jewelry Museum
The national Jewelry museum is housed in the Central Bank of Iran. Heavily guarded this impressive collection of jewelry is unique. One of the highlights is the Crown Jewel, last used by the Sjah of Iran.
Note: National Jewelry Museum is open only on Saturdays-Tuesdays at 14-16
The Grand Bazaar in Tehran is less than 200 years old, but for a much longer time on this spot trading as been going on. In total there is more than 10 kilometer of lanes full of stores. Each part of the bazaar as is own specialty, for example copper, paper, gold, spices, and of course carpets.
Transfer to Tehran IKA International Airport, departure and fly back home.

- You can have Tea, Nescafe and biscuit, unlimited and free of charge, all-day in base camp and advanced camp.
- When you arrive to Base camp or advance camp, you are served by welcome herbal drinks.
- We provide and use spring water for drinking and cooking in advance camp, that it is taken from mountain springs.
- Any cold drinks as bottle water, Coke, beer, juice & … should be bought from base camp or advance camp shop separately.
