Arrival in Tehran IKA International Airport, transfer to hotel. Check in and rest.
Transfer from Tehran to Vandarbon. Leisure time.
After a transfer to Tang-e Gelu hiking up to Hesarchal camp(3800 m), this will take about 4 hours. The route goes along some nomads then passing along a small river originated from the melting snow, the sheep and goats grazing in the fields. Snow can be found here even in August. The rest of the day will be used for acclimatization. The camp is surrounded by mountains of 4000 meters high. Also several natural springs can be found in this area.
Hesarchal camp altitude: 3800 m
Drive distance: 13 km on dirt road, 1 hour
Trek time: 3-4 hours ascending, 500m
Ascending to Lashgarak Summit (4320 m) for acclimatization and return to the camp. The peak of Lashgarak is located at south of camp. We pass a glacier and a beautiful small lake while ascending and we see everlasting snow of glacier near the top.
Trek time: 3 hours ascending and 1.5 hours descending
Altitude gain: 500 m
Ascending to the summit of Alamkouh 4850 m which is situated North of the camp, this takes 5-6 hours,. Passing another glacier, a small path leads up to the summit.
Above 4300m we will not find vegetation anymore, this area is full of rocks and some snow. From the top the Caspian See can be seen. After pushing the summit trekking down to Tang-e-Gelu which takes about 5 hours then drive to Vandarbon
Trek time: 5-6 hours ascending up to 4850 m, 3 hours descending to camp, and 2 hours to Tang-e Gelu.
Altitude gain: 1050 m
Drive via Haraz road to Nandal village located in the north face of Damavand (4-5 hours drive). Welcome drink & snack upon arrival. Enjoying the friendly atmosphere of Damavand Eco Camp, rest and relax in equipped tents.
Early morning wake up, having breakfast, drive to the start point of trekking trail by pickups (Nissan mini truck). The luggage will be transported by mules. The trekking takes 5-6 hours leading to Damavand Advanced Camp (4350 m). Welcome drink and snack upon arrival. After relaxation & practice and review of mountaineering essential skills, it’s time for dinner.

Trekking start point: 2700 m
Trek time: 5-6 hours
Altitude gain: 1650 m
Acclimatization day; Half day trek up to 4850 m to acclimatize in the path leading to the summit and return to advanced camp, this day also could be used as a reserved day in case of bad weather on summit day.
Trek time: 4-5 hours up and down
Altitude gain: 500 m
Early morning wake up, climbing (slowly & as a team). Reaching summit, a short stop for visiting Damavand caldera and old crater of the volcano. Visiting sulfur fumarole and taking photos. Return to the Advanced Camp. After a well deserved rest it’s time for dinner.
Trek time: approx. 12 hours up and down
Altitude gain: 1270 m
Trekking back to the start point of the track after breakfast, the backpacks will be transported by mules. Transfer to Damavand Eco Camp by pickups (Nissan mini truck). After a cozy lunch and short refreshment drive back to Tehran. and flight to Shiraz.
Drive distance: 5 km on dirt road, 45 minutes / 150 km from Nandal to Tehran, approx. 4-5 hours
Trek time: 4 hours down
Shiraz is the city of sophistication that has been celebrated as the heartland of Persian culture for more than 2000 years; the city is well known for poems and tall cypress trees. In the morning we visit the astonishing colorful Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque or Pink Mosque that make our day. Walking through one of the oldest streets in Shiraz we arrive in Qavam Naranjestan Garden. Then we will continue to visit Karim Khan Citadel, Vakil Mosque, Vakil Bath and ending our day by walking in old Bazaar of Shiraz.
Drive to Isfahan, visit Pasargadae Archeology Site and tomb of Cyrus the Great, the first Achaemenid king and founder of Persian Empire.
In Naqsh-e Rustam there are four tombs cut high into the cliff face. The tombs are from the former kings of the Achaemenid dynasty. Also several reliefs can be found here from Sassanid period then drive to Isfahan.
Today we visit Imam Square , the huge open square in the center of Isfahan with it's artistic monuments at four sides including Imam Mosque with intricate turquoise tiles, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque with some of the best mosaics from 17th century, Ali Ghapoo Palace which was the first skyscraper in Iran and the old Bazaar. Walking through one of the largest squares in the world and visiting history, culture, architecture and handicrafts as well, is an experience you have never had before. Then we walk to the Chehel Sotoun Palace and after visiting this beautiful royal pavilion of Safavid and one of the Persian Gardens registered as UNESCO World Heritage list it's time to explore more of Isfahan at leisure time in the old Bazaar with hundreds of shops displaying the art of handicraft.
Kashan is a historical city on the desert side and it is well known for it's restored merchant houses. After about 3 hours drive we start our day tour by visiting Abbasian & Broujerdis traditional houses. These beautiful houses which belong to 18 and 19 centuries are illustrating the finest examples of Qajar aesthetic. Then we visit Fin Garden, this delightful garden which is renowned as being the very epitome of the Persian Garden earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list with its historical background, an amazing atmosphere, symmetrical proportions, old cedars, spring-fed pools and fountains.
Drive to Tehran, check in at hotel and free at leisure to visit old bazaar and walking in city center.
Transfer to Tehran IKA International Airport, departure and fly back home.
